ATM card “required” to switch to chip card
According to the provisions in Clause 1 of Circular 22/2020/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing Clause 5, Article 1 of Circular 41/2018/TT-NHNN stipulating: “By December 31, 2021, 100% of ATMs and equipment will be card is accepted at the point of sale operating in Vietnam of GDTTT complying with the basic standard on domestic chip cards”. Thus, ATM cards are required to switch to using chips, not using magnetic cards as before. In fact, banks have switched to using chip cards for a long time, but now there is a regulation that requires 100% of ATM cards to use chips.
However, the conversion must ensure the route, so after December 31, 2021, magnetic ATM cards can still make transactions.
Transport business cars must be changed to yellow plates before December 31, 2021
According to Circular 58, from August 1, 2020, newly registered transport business vehicles will be granted a yellow number plate. Vehicles operating in transportation business before August 1, 2020 must change to a yellow number plate before December 31, 2021.
Car owners who fail to comply with the regulations on number plates will be fined according to Point dd Clause 7 Article 30 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP.
Specifically, a fine ranging from VND 2 to 4 million for individuals, from VND 4 to 8 million for organizations that are car owners who fail to comply with regulations on number plates.
New regulations on charitable activities come into effect
After the controversy about charity activities of the artist world. Recently, the Government has officially issued Decree 93/2021 to replace Decree 64/2018. Accordingly, when doing personal charity, organizations must comply with the following basic provisions:
Time commitment to disburse money and callable in kind.
Must open a separate bank account to receive
It is required to notify the People’s Committee of the commune or ward where the charity caller resides.
Must notify the local government where the charity is coming. Must record information on the distribution of money and charitable objects.
These regulations represent a stricter and clearer regulation of philanthropy. Decree 93/2021 takes effect from December 11, 2021.
