On August 8, 2017, the General Department of Customs (TCHQ) issued Official Letter 5273/TCHQ-TXNK on implementing the project “Electronic tax payment via banks to coordinate collection and clearance 24/7”.
Accordingly, the notification to commercial banks to coordinate in collecting the pilot implementation plan of the project will start from October 16, 2017.
In order for the pilot to go well, before that, the Customs Department is also expected to coordinate with banks to carry out the following preparations:
– Before September 30, 2017 will be completed:
+ Upgrading the customs electronic payment gateway, building the functions of taxpayers, functions of declaring and making payment papers on the electronic payment portal;
+ Develop a process for exchanging information between the Customs Department and the collection co-ordinating banks.
– From October 1 to 15, 2017: check the information exchange system between the Customs Department and the collection co-ordinating banks.
– From October 3 to 10, 2017: organize a training conference for taxpayers, bank staff to coordinate collection, customs officers, divided into 3 conferences in 3 North – Central regions – Male.
In addition, Official Letter 5273/TCHQ-TXNK is also issued together with a list of 36 banks to coordinate collection.
