- Verify the cases assigned by the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the commune, ward or township;
- To participate in the inspection and examination at communes, wards and townships at the request of competent state agencies; provide information, documents, send participants when required;
- Perform other duties and exercise other powers prescribed by law.
- Powers of People’s Inspection Committees of wards, communes and townships:
- Proposing chairpersons of People’s Committees of communes, wards and townships to handle violations according to their competence and to remedy loopholes and omissions discovered through monitoring activities, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of citizens. organizations and units;
- Proposing Presidents of People’s Committees and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of communes, wards and townships to encourage, commend and reward collectives and individuals that detect violations and have achievements in their work. ;
- Receive recommendations and feedbacks from agencies, organizations, units and individuals related to the scope of supervision of the People’s Inspection Committee.

- Verification activity
+ Accept the verification task assigned by the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the commune, ward or township.
+ During the verification process, the People’s Inspection Committee has the right to request relevant organizations and individuals to provide necessary information and documents in service of the verification; review to clarify the facts to be verified; Verification is documented.
+ At the end of the verification, the People’s Inspection Committee shall report to the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the commune, ward or township on the verification results; and recommend remedial measures.
