The highest fine according to regulations is up to 20 million VND, the minimum is 10 million VND and especially there is no warning penalty!
If you own one or more websites for the purpose of doing business, trading or introducing any products or services, according to regulations (Clause 8, Article 3 of Decree 52/2013/ND-CP on website e-commerce), then you need to notify and register with the Ministry of Industry and Trade about these websites.
Heavy fines if you don’t register
If you do not carry out the notification and registration procedures as prescribed, you will be administratively sanctioned according to regulations. Specifically, according to Clauses 1, 2, 3, Article 81 of Decree 185/2013/ND-CP on sanctioning of administrative violations in commercial activities, production, trading…; if violated, they will be fined with a fine of up to 20 million VND.
If the trader, organization or individual commits the violation many times or repeats the violation, the state agency will have an additional penalty of suspending e-commerce activities according to Clause 4, Article 81 of the Decree above.
